Effective date: 20 October 2026. For bookings, this revised document applies to new bookings made on or after that date when disclosed as part of the booking. Existing confirmed bookings and previously accepted booking terms remain unchanged.

1. Responsible business and scope

India Beacons Sojourn (“IBS”) is the travel-service business responsible for processing personal information collected through Shaktipeeth Darshan booking, quotation, enquiry, payment, email, WhatsApp and office channels. This policy describes how information is handled for pilgrimage tours and related travel services. Other IBS-operated websites may use equivalent master policies with relevant service-specific provisions.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on the service, IBS may collect names, telephone numbers, email and postal addresses, identity and contact details, passenger numbers and ages, travel dates, itinerary choices, accommodation and vehicle requests, emergency contacts, payment references, quotations, receipts, invoices and customer communications. Voter ID, AADHAR, Birth Certificate for Children, Passport, visa, permit, mobility, dietary or medically relevant assistance information is requested only where reasonably needed for a particular travel service.

3. Why data is used

Information is used for responding to enquiries, preparing prices and itineraries, arranging accommodation, transport and permits, confirming and managing bookings, delivering receipts and service messages, handling payments and refunds, providing travel assistance, dealing with grievances, keeping lawful accounts, protecting system security and improving services.

4. Booking for other travellers and children

The lead guest providing information about fellow travellers must be authorised to do so. Children’s information should be supplied by an authorised parent or guardian, with consent or other safeguards as required by applicable law. Information is not used to target unrelated behavioural advertising at children.

5. Payments and financial records

IBS may retain transaction amounts, payment references, invoices, receipts, refunds, booking histories and legally required accounting information. Card and online payment credentials may be processed directly by authorised third-party payment providers under their own policies. IBS does not intentionally retain complete card credentials unless supported by a properly authorised, compliant system.

6. Email, WhatsApp and service messages

Official email and business messaging channels, including authorised messaging service providers, may be used to deliver quotations, booking confirmations, itinerary revisions, reminders, receipts, cancellation statements and assistance messages. Necessary service communications are different from optional promotional messages. Marketing messages are sent only where legally permitted, with consent where required and an appropriate way to stop them.

7. Sharing with travel and technology providers

IBS may share reasonably necessary guest details with selected hotels, drivers, guides, transport and travel suppliers, permit authorities, payment processors, document-processing providers, website hosts, messaging/email providers, professional advisers and government authorities where appropriate or legally required. We aim to limit shared information to the purposes involved. IBS does not sell or rent identifiable customer records to unrelated marketers.

8. Testimonials, guest photographs and video

Guests may voluntarily provide testimonials or share travel photographs and videos. Providing a Voluntary Testimonial allows India Beacons Sojourn to publish such videos etc on their website, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp or other social media platforms. Such identifiable guest images, interviews and recordings will be published for promotion.

9. Cookies, analytics and security logs

Our site may use functional session cookies, technical logs, security controls and, where configured, analytics or marketing technology. IP addresses, device/browser information and interactions may be collected as reasonably needed. Non-essential tracking will use consent controls where legally required. Browser settings may allow users to restrict cookies, although some booking features then may not work.

10. Security and retention

IBS uses reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, appropriate access restrictions, website security updates and service-provider controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Personal information is retained as reasonably needed for travel services, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution or other permitted purposes; thereafter it will be appropriately deleted or anonymised where practicable and lawful.

11. Cross-border travel and processing

International pilgrimages or overseas suppliers may require transfer of pertinent passenger information to travel partners or authorities outside India. Some technology providers may process data internationally. IBS will follow applicable legal requirements and restrictions.

12. Rights, consent and grievances

Subject to the applicable legal provisions in force, individuals may request relevant information about their personal data, correction or updating, deletion where legally appropriate, withdrawal of consent for consent-based processing, and grievance redressal. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful handling or prevent processing authorised or required under other laws. IBS will follow legally applicable response timelines.
