India Beacons Sojourn presents the guided Bangladesh 7 Shaktipeeth Group Departure, a 6-night / 7-day pilgrimage starting in Kolkata and ending at Agartala Airport. The programme includes five hotel nights in Bangladesh and one in Agartala, with accommodation in 3-Star and Above Hotels on a double-sharing basis. Daily breakfast and six dinners are included.
Guests may register their preferred travel month through the existing IBS Group Tour Interest system. An Expression of Interest is not a confirmed booking, payment request, reserved seat or guaranteed departure. The named temple visits below are indicative; final departure dates, temple access, visiting times and operational instructions will be confirmed through the authorised booking process.
The Shakta tradition honours Shakti, the Divine Mother, in forms such as Maa Durga, Maa Kali and Lalita Tripurasundari, as the supreme divine power. According to sacred tradition, after Maa Sati gave up her life at Daksha's sacrifice, Lord Shiva carried Her body in grief, and Lord Vishnu used His Sudarshana Chakra to restore cosmic balance.
The places where Her body parts and ornaments are believed to have fallen became the sacred Shaktipeethas, each traditionally associated with the Goddess and Bhairava, a form of Lord Shiva. The widely revered 51 Shaktipeethas, although counted differently in various scriptures, remain sacred centres of devotion, pilgrimage and spiritual awakening across India, Bangladesh and the wider Indian subcontinent.
